Yesterday I had a HUGE moment of self realisation in my craft. For whatever reason it happened and I’m so very grateful for it. I’ll admit I was on the boundaries of my comfort zone yet I was creating photographs … Continue reading →
Just had the okay to share this peek, my latest cover. It’s gone rather pink during the upload to flickr for some reason so you’ll just have to go see it for yourselves for the full effect.
Hits newsagents 11th October I believe.
I have a stack of new work that due to exclusivity agreements I can’t share with you at the moment. Needless to say you’ll see it when it hits but until then trust me I’ve been busy.

A selection from the full set can be found here – www.bangphoto.co.uk/triptychs.
Currently in the process of setting up a place for the whole (current) set to reside.
Anyone looking back through the triptychs on here will notice missing numbers, worry not they’ve been shot just not everything makes it on here.
The full series as it stands only resides upon my harddrive. One day I’ll be happy enough with it to publish the full thing, until then you’ll have to make do with the odd snippet now and then.

Sorry, I told you it’s been a busy month or so. Absolutely loads of new work shot so it’s about time I get to sharing some of it on here. Here are a few of the crop of images I shot with the brilliant Thembi Mkandla of Kate Waldron. Thembi hit me up with an idea of finding the least “English” looking beach we could whilst still not travelling too far from Manchester to shoot some summery beauty and swimwear stuff for both our portfolios. We found an awesome location or three thanks to the help of Alan, another photographer I know. He scouted us some great spots, hooked us up with space to base ourselves, humped my gear, drove people around, got sandwiches, and basically acted as a first rate second assistant whilst Michael (my usual assistant wrestled with the Rotalux in the wind). The beautiful designs we managed to acquire for the shoot came via Roscoe Forsythe a great Manchester stylist I’m happy to have made contact with, he pulled pieces from Joanne Miller & Laura Bancroft and they really took the whole ting to another level.
A great team, great weather and slightly more production value than some of my recent “simple” shoots. Fell in love with the tiny Elinchrom pack (well my assistant did as he could lug the thing around all day on his shoulders and didn’t moan too much).
So all has been a little quiet on the blog over the last month, sorry gang. It’s been a fairly busy one for me lately, numerous tests, agency meetings and a new look book shot for Educate Elevate has had me fully dedicated to ensuring clients receive images on time.
So I have plenty to pop up on here it’s just a matter of finding the time to flesh out some words to go along side.
That being said, here are a few teasers from a test I shot yesterday for Cliche new boy Darren. Having a background in acting certainly helped him get into the mood for this look.
Sorry old blog of mine it seems i’ve been neglecting you a little of late. Lots has been happening, plenty of new material shot, a good few irons in the fire coming up plus I’m starting to form a plan of where the second 50 Triptychs are going to take the project (once I get to 50 that is).
So for now you’re just going to have to make do with lots of beard as I splurge a little from this one. Currently formulation an editorial piece from it so enjoy.
